Del Duca Visits Broken Bridge

The provincial transportation minister says it’ll be next week before they know how soon the second lane of the crippled Nipigon Bridge will be open to traffic.

Steven Del Duca inspected the site with MPP Michael Gravelle.

Del Duca says everything will be done to find out what caused the bridge to break apart. He says the priority is to get the second lane open and to find out what happened.

The minister also says he won’t comment on reports the bolts that broke on the structure were manufactured in China saying he will not speak to gossip or speculation. (Photo supplied)
