4 men from Red Lake have been arrested following a months long drug investigation in the community. Provincial Police had been conducting the investigation with assistance from numerous OPP agencies, along with the Winnipeg and Treaty 3 Police. On January 12 police arrested 2 men, and seized 1.75 pounds of cocaine and a 2005 Chevrolet Truck. Police then executed 4 search warrants and discovered cannabis resin, marihuana, cocaine, 7-thousand dollars cash, and evidence of drug trafficking. The street value of the drugs seized is over 62-thousand dollars. The following adult persons have been charged with the following offences: 32 year old Marshall Dansereau of Red Lake: Possession of Schedule 1 Substance (cocaine) for the purpose of Trafficking contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drug and Substances Act and Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5000 contrary to Section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code. 32 year old Joseph Koroscil of Red Lake: Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance (cocaine) for the purpose of Trafficking contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drug and Substances Act. 33 year old Brendan Williams of Red Lake: Possession of Schedule 2 (cannabis marihuana) for the purposes of trafficking contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drug and Substances Act, Possession of Schedule 2 (cannabis resin) for the purposes of trafficking contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drug and Substances Act and Possession of Proceeds of Crime over $5000 contrary to Section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code. 33 year old Jeremy Brouillard of Red Lake: Possession of Schedule 2 (cannabis marihuana) for the purposes of trafficking contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drug and Substances Act, Possession of Schedule 2 (cannabis resin) for the purposes of trafficking contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drug and Substances Act and Possession of Proceeds of Crime over $5000 contrary to Section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code. Mr. Dansereau and Mr. Koroscil remain in custody awaiting a bail hearing while Mr. Williams and Mr. Brouillard were released by way of a promise to appear in Red Lake Court on February 25, 2016.
