A new poll shows designated driving is seen as a contribution to the community similar to volunteering or fundraising.
It’s a landmark survey conducted by Ipsos Reid, which reveals a “DD” is viewed as community building.
Vice President of Ipsos, Sean Simpson says most young adults are making the connection.
Simpson says the main reason people “DD” is to protect their friends.
Others do it to keep their community safe.
The poll results show 90 per cent of respondents agree our communities need more designated drivers.
It also reveals sober drivers should get more recognition at bars or nightclubs, like free admission.
