OPSEU Holding Strike Votes In Northwestern Ontario This Week

The Ontario Public Service Alliance will begin taking strike votes today across northwestern Ontario.
OPSEU won’t be in a legal strike position until the new year, but are seeking a strike mandate from their members as they continue contract negotiations.
Voting will take place in Sioux Lookout, Red Lake, Ignace, Thunder Bay and Atikokan.
Thursday, strike votes will be held in Fort Frances, Emo and Dryden.
In Kenora, voting will take place on Friday at the Best Western Lakeside Inn.
