Details on New Elementary School

The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board will start the design and
tender process for construction of a new school in Dryden as soon as
possible.
Director of Education Janet Wilkinson says the new state-of-the-art facility will be great for students in terms of education, equipment, resources and eliminating triple and quadruple grading.
Wabigoon School will close in June 2008 with students transferring to Riverview School.
Pinewood will remain open until the completion of the new school on the
Riverview site.
A targeted construction completion date has been set for September
2009.
