Students and Staff at Dryden High School were told to stay home today (Thursday) after a water main break on Duke Street in Dryden last night cut off water to the school. In a press release, the School Board said:
Due to a water main break, Dryden High School will be CLOSED to all staff and students on Thursday February 13. Text of KPDSB release: Due to a major water main break in front of Dryden High School earlier tonight, DRYDEN HIGH SCHOOL WILL BE CLOSED TO ALL STAFF AND STUDENTS ON THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 2014. KPDSB Senior Administration will monitor the status of the break and it’s repairs throughout the day on Thursday and will reevaluate the decision to close Dryden High School lateThursday afternoon. At that time, a decision will be made with regards to a possible continued closure on Friday, February 14. All DHS staff as well as Dryden Board Office staff do not have to report to the closest work site as they can work from home
