A change of scenery for graduation ceremonies at Dryden High School.
The June 23rd event will be moved from the Gordon Wood Auditorium to Harry McMaster Field.
Principal Scott Urquhart and Host Cindy Palermo were guests on the CKDR Morning Show Thursday to talk about the changes.
Urquhart says they wanted to have a larger academic celebration for their graduating students.
He says event will celebrate the proud history of the school.
Urquhart notes a tent will be set up by Lappage Tent Rentals and everyone will be under cover.
He stresses they will have an expanded number of seats.
Palermo says she’s excited to be a part of the celebration.
She says it’s a thrill as a teacher to witness your students walk across the stage and accept their diploma after watching them grow up throughout the years.
