Diamond Jubilee Medal Award To Native Leader

The head of the Metis Nation of Ontario has finally received his Diamond Jubilee medal.
Gary Lipinski was presented with the award at the Metis Nation’s recent meeting in Thunder Bay.
Northern Development Minister Michael Gravelle nominated the Fort Frances native for the award a year and a half ago.
Gravelle says the meeting was the first opportunity where he was able to present the medal to Lipinski in person.
