Director Of Education Announces Retirement

After more then 20-years with the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board, Jack McMaster says he will retire on July 31, 2013.
The Director of Education says while it was a tough decision, it just started to feel right.
He says part of the decision is knowing that the board will be in great hands in the future.
When asked what he will miss the most, McMaster stated it will be the people, the relationships that the board has developed with staff and the passion that teachers have when making a difference in students’ lives.
McMaster says he has spoken with other staff members and will stay involved with education in one way or another.
There’s no word yet on a replacement, but McMaster says he will be attending a retreat with trustees this weekend.
They will discuss the process and timelines for finding a new Director of Education.
