Distracted Driving Too Common In Ontario

Distracted driving is once again taking over as the number one cause of motor vehicle accidents in Ontario.

The OPP say of the 51 fatal accidents this year, 12 have been the result of driver inattention.

This is the seventh year in a row distracted driving has been the main cause of fatal accidents, taking over from impaired driving.

The OPP is about to launch a new awareness campaign and enforcement blitz aimed at combating the issue of distracted driving. (File photo)
