Two area First Nations are now on board a major transmission initiative.
Wabigoon Lake and Sandy Lake have joined forces with a First Nations power company, to develop a transmission line in Northwestern Ontario.
Officials say the project will connect remote areas, currently relying on expensive diesel fuel to supply their power.
The company also announced it recently received approval to start the process of an environmental assessment. (File photo)
