The Dryden group trying to recruit and retain physicians in the area is scrambling now that two doctors have indicated they are leaving their practices in the near future.
The Dryden Cares Committee plans a number of meetings in the coming weeks to address the doctor shortage in the community and what is becoming a crisis situation.
Committee Chair Roger Valley says the group will discuss the impact of the departure of the two doctors as well as the likely closure of the Dryden Medical Clinic, where they now practice.
Dr. Peter Ryan and Dr. Stuart Ford announced last week they plan to leave their practices in Dryden.
The city was already in need of at least four doctors to reach full complement.
