An Alberta doctor says the man charged with manslaughter in connection with a deadly bus crash seemed calm when he received a prescription for a drug used to treat attention deficit disorder.
Dr. Lana Lovo told a Thunder Bay court she wrote the prescription three days before 23-year-old Shaun Davis boarded the bus.
Lovo testified Davis seemed reasonable during a visit to her office.
Davis left Alberta by bus in December 2000 and was planning to head home to Nova Scotia when he allegedly grabbed the steering wheel of the bus near Upsala causing it to crash.
Closing arguments in the case are scheduled for tomorrow.
