Dogs Lose Opener; Flyers Win First Game

Not a bad effort for the Dryden Ice Dogs despite having only 14 skaters.

The Dogs opened with two straight goals but handed four back in a 4-2 loss to Wisconsin Saturday night. Bryce Maggrah scored both Dog goals while Josh Reid added two assists. Dryden was outshot 29-14. In other action, the Sioux Lookout Flyers won their first game of the season a 4-2 decision in Fort Frances.

Matt Reed, Anthony Wolfe, AJ Merritt and Cody Block scored for the Flyers.

Jayme Brattengier picked up the victory.
