Over 47 thousand dollars will be going towards 16

domestic violence prevention programs in the Kenora area.

Minister of Northern Development Rick Bartolucci says

the funding will help improve community based programs

across the North.

In Kenora, Women’s Place, Morningstar Centre,

Northwestern Health Unit, Sexual Assault/Partner Abuse

Program, Sexual Assault Centre and the Multi Cultural

Association will each receive 3-thousand dollars each.

Mike—Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Care and Treatment Program, Patricia Centre for Children and Youth, Elder Abuse Prevention Committee, Canadian Red Cross, Dryden Regional Mental Health and Addiction Services. 3-thousand each, all in Dryden. Red Lake New Starts for Women Inc. S.L. Assault Care and Treatment Centre. 3-thous. each again.
