Domestic Violence $ #2

16 Projects in the Kenora-Rainy River District will be

sharing over 47-thousand dollars in domestic violence

prevention funding.

Minister of Northern Development and Mines Rick

Bartolucci says the funding will be used to provide

education and training to community based programs across

the north.

Women’s Place Kenora will be using their share of the

funding to acquire library equipment, books, and resources

on the issue of women healing from violent situations.

Morning Star Centre in Kenora will be purchasing

culturally appropriate library resource materialls to

educate staff and clients about violence and abuse issues.
