The track at Dryden High School was paved in gold for two young athletes at the Special Olympic Regional Summer Games on the weekend.
Robert Grandmont and Dominque Gardner combined for 13 first place finishes in the 13 events they participated in.
Grandmont won gold in the Men’s 50, 100, 200 and 400 metre races as well as long jump and shot put.
Gardner was tops in her field in the Women’s 100, 200, 400, 800 and 1,500 races, along with gold in shot put and long jump.
Both are products of the Dryden Eagles High School track program.
