Domtar is talking with community members about how they operate and what’s new.
Forestlands Manager Jack Harrison spoke to the Dryden Rotary Club to update members on what has been happening in and around the mill.
Harrison says they’ve also been researching Finland, a country that relies heavily on forestry for their energy production and heating.
He also mentions that the mill is currently operating and producing well lately aside from a bit of a slow-down in January due to the cold temperatures.
Harrison also says their workforce is getting older and retiring soon so they are looking for more young people to enter their work force.
