Winter isn’t quite behind us in northwestern Ontario.
CKDR Meteorologist Bill Laidlaw says we can expect to see up to 7-centimetres of snow by tomorrow morning.
Laidlaw says the snow will start falling this afternoon and drifting snow will reduce visibility on area roads.
The Lake of the Woods area and close to the U.S. border will be the hardest hit.
We aren’t alone!
Blowing-snow warnings remain in effect across southern Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
Many highways south of Calgary were closed yesterday and numerous flights were cancelled or delayed.
Parts of Manitoba could be in for 25 centimetres of snow today as an intense storm system rolls across the Prairies.
Environment Canada says most of the snow is expected to fall in the Brandon and Minnedosa regions, while Winnipeg could get up to 15 centimetres.
Some highways are partly snow-covered and visibility is poor.
