A Lakehead Public Schools board employee has been suspended after a 7-year-old boy’s hair was cut while he was at school.
The mother reported the incident to Thunder Bay police shortly after the incident on April 16th.
The mother of the boy, who is aboriginal, calls the teaching assistant’s actions to be “culturally disrespectful.”
The family has hired a lawyer after the Crown’s office decided against laying an assault charge.
