City Police and the Dryden Fire Service were called to the Parks
Board building on Duke Street Tuesday night after several wires from an
utility pole were found on the street, driveways and parked vehicles.
Emergency officials say a dump truck’s raised box was firmly tangled
in utility wires, downing the lines from Rourke Aveneue to the end of Duke
Street.
The wires were DMTS data, fibre and phone lines as well as Shaw Cable
lines.
Hydro One crews assisted DMTS and Shaw Cable to repair the downed
lines.
