Results from a survey completed in the Upper Manitou Lakes area, just south of Dryden off Highway 502, indicate 12-areas with higher
than normal concentration of metals.
Mininister of Northern Development and Mines Rick Bartolucci says the
find could lead to increased exploration and investment, comparable to what
is happening in the Red Lake area.
Bartolucci says the survey identifies gold, silver, copper and nickel.
He says most of the areas are open for staking and have a
history of significant gold deposits
