Tenders for the first phase of Dryden’s Downtown Revitalization plan close Wednesday and Officials want to get the ball rolling shortly after.
Initial work includes 6 new tree islands, sidewalks and curbing, resurfacing of the road and street lighting.
Director of Engineering Brad Johns says the light posts will be able to handle banners and planters.
The entire project is pegged at $1.5 million and will centre around the underpass and King Street area.
Council originally wanted the work done by Moosefest in late June but there is no indication yet if that will happen.
