Taxes Up 15% in Sioux Lookout

Taxes are going up in Sioux Lookout.
Council has passed its Operating Budget with a 11% tax hike.
In order to balance the books, Town officials say some user fees have also been increased including daycare and recreation.
Mayor Kathy Kiepek says 80% of the additional taxes are due to the Municipal levies from outside agencies.
The Capital Budget is expected to be presented to Council next month.
