Municipalities in the Kenora District now have a rough idea on what they will have to pay for social services.
The Services Board has released its draft levies under the 2012 budget and CAO Dan McNeill says the average increase is 3.5%.
McNeill says the assessment has doubled for Municipalities with a high volume of lakefront property.
The Unincorporated area was hit the hardest, with a $7.6-million bill
Dryden will have to pay roughly $1.47-million, $23,000 higher than 2011.
Red Lake saw the biggest increase at 7% over 2011 figures.
Dryden: 2012 Levy: $1.47 (m). Increase of $22,699 or 1.56%
Ear Falls: 2012 Levy: $136,845. Increase of $4,091 or 3.08%
Ignace: 2012 Levy: $157,363. Increase of $2,748 or 1.78%
Kenora: 2012 Levy: $2.84 (m). Increase of $18,449 or 2.84%
Machin: 2012 Levy: $305,215. Increase of $12,371 or 4.22%
Pickle Lake: 2012 Levy: $52,906. Decrease of $165 or -0.31%
Red Lake: 2012 Levy: $758,059. Increase of $49,921 or 7.05%
Sioux Lookout: 2012 Levy: $916,168. Increase of $23,515 or 2.63%
Sioux Narrows/Nestor Falls: 2012 Levy: $741,285. Increase of $46,383 or 6.67%
Unincorporated: 2012 Levy: $7.65 (m). Increase of $268,497 or 3.64%
