HST Increase?

While most want it decreased or scrapped, Atikokan Town Council is advocating a 1% hike in the HST.
Mayor Dennis Brown says the revenue could be earmarked for municipalities for infrastructure improvements.
Brown says under their proposal, his community would receive more than $850,000.
The Town plans to take its idea to an upcoming meeting of area municipal leaders later this month.
