The City of Dryden is being asked to offer financial incentives to
business owners to improve the look of their property.
The recommendation is contained in a draft Community Improvement Plan
created with public input by Consultant Jim Dyment.
Dyment says every building in the downtown has a drawing that shows an
improved facade relating to a “Fronteer Town” theme.
Dyment says the City also needs to improve the signage on Highway 17
and is also recommending the installation of a planted median on the
Trans-Canada in Town.
A copy of the plan is available at the Building and Planning office
on 45 King Street.
Council is expected to approve a final plan and address financial
incentives sometime in the next couple of months.
