The local teams are off to a tough start at the Northwestern Ontario
Junior Men’s Curling Playdowns in Thunder Bay.
Dryden’s Andrew McMillan dropped his first draw game Thursday morning,
losing 6-3 to the Taylor Kallos rink out of Fort William.
Mike Frostiak and his Red Lake rink also lost in the opening draw falling
to Andrew Nerpin of Marathon.
Draw 2 is underway.
The Ladies Playdowns are taking place at the Eagles Landing Curling
Club in Dryden.
The only regional team is the Amy Nielson rink out of Fort Frances.
Nielson won her opener 10-3 Thursday morning.
Draw 2 is on the go at Eagles Landing.
The top 2 teams in both divisions will represent the Northwest at the
Provincial finals.
