DREAM Welcomes Funding; More Details Released On Big Fundraiser

Dingwall Ford and the Dryden Kinsmen are helping the Dryden Recreation Extension and Modification Committee with their fundraising drive to upgrade the Memorial Arena.

More than $5,300 was raised during the annual Ford Drive One event and the on-site Kinsmen barbeque.

Jeff Gliddon is the Sales Manager at the dealership and he says they had a great turnout for the event.

Gliddon says they are happy to support the cause, noting the Arena is one of the most used facilities in town and is starting to show its age.

Randy Allen joined DREAM members to accept the donation on Wednesday.

Allen says it’s fantastic to have a local business and service group jump on board with their campaign.

He says the fundraising drive is going well and support has been positive.

Allen says they are now preparing for their big July 26th Dinner and Auction at the Agricultural Society.

The event will feature door prizes, auctions and a live auction feature Rick Lapointe.

Some of the items already secured include autographed jersey’s from Connor McDavid, John Taveres, Patrick Laine, Cory Perry and Ryan Getzlaf as well as a set of Chris Pronger gloves.

Guest speakers will include Chris and Sean Pronger and Calder Cup champion coach Bruce Ramsay.

Tickets are available at the Arena office or by contacting Janice Radburn (216-8168) or Marnie Oliphant (938-8091)

There will also be a free event at the Arena that day with events and activities for the kids and an autograph session.
