Some criticism is being levelled against the Ontario Workplace Safety and Insurance Board.
A Toronto area Legal clinic has released a review of cases that went before the WSIB appeals tribunal last year.
It claims some WSIB decisions were unreasonable and ignore the medical opinions thus putting workers at “medical risk.”
The clinic says in 110 cases, the WSIB failed to respect the medical advice provided and in 175 cases the WSIB decision went contrary to that advice.
