A routine traffic stop has resulted in a major drug bust for OPP.
Police pulled over a vehicle on Highway 17 near Kenora for erratic
driving last Thursday.
Officers became suspicious about the stories the 2-occupants were telling and
with help from the Tri-Force Drug Unit, a search of the vehicle turned up
106-pounds of marijuana worth an estimated $1-million.
Police say charges of possession of a controlled substance for the
purpose of trafficking have been laid against 44-year-old Joseph Rene Eric
Downing and 30-year-old Pascal Fortier both of New Brunswick.
