Rainy River OPP Crime Unit and the Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) were called to investigate an assault this past weekend.
As part of the investigation, a search was conducted at a local Fort Frances hotel room.
Officers located a quantity of Crystal Methamphetamine, suspected Fentanyl and a quantity of cash. Officers also located a number of weapons in the room.
Sean BRAGG, 33 years of age, of Fort Frances, has been charged with the following offences:
1. Assault with a Weapon contrary to section 267(a) of the Criminal Code,
2. Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose contrary to section 88 of the Criminal Code,
3. Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code,
4. Possession of A Schedule I Substance contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA),
5. Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA.
He is being held in custody pending a bail hearing,
