Most of the Northwest remains under a Restrict Fire Zone and temperatures climb.
Six forest fires are burning across northwestern Ontario coming out of the long weekend.
Despite a ban on burning, four of the fires are listed as human caused.
Most are small in size with the exception of a blaze a few kilometres northeast of Pikangikum at the community’s dump site which sparked Saturday and has since grown to 27 hectares.
There have been a spate of fires in the Pikangikum area over the past couple of days.
The forest fire hazard is currently high across much of the northwest region.
