Drug Education Campaign

The Tri-Force Drug Unit has launched an enhanced education campaign to raise awareness about what kind of drugs are common in the region and the dangers they possess.
Detective Staff Sergeant John Horne, unit commander of the Tri-Force Drug Unit, credits public education on helping to break up more than 20 drug operations last year.
Horne says the drug unit is on pace to more than double the amount of marijuana it seized in 2001.
The Tri-Force Drug Unit is composed of the OPP and police forces in Dryden, Atikokan, Kenora and Thunder Bay.
