Early Childhood Centres

The provincial government plans to have more than 100 early childhood centres up and running later this year.
The centres will provide information about programs available in each community in the region.
Penny Todd, chair of the Early Childhood Committee in Kenora-Rainy River Districts, says communities will have a chance to decide what services the centre should provide.
Some agencies have expressed concern that the new early childhood centres will duplicate or take funding away from existing child care programs.
