A young city girl is safe and sound thanks to the heroic efforts of a
12-year-old Dryden girl.
Ali Murray was walking her dog in the Government dock area last week,
when she noticed 2-small children riding their bikes on the dock.
One of the kids fell off and was fully submerged in the ice cold water.
Murray rushed over and grabbed the girls hand and pulled her out of
the water to safety.
City Police thanked the Grade 6 student at New Prospect School and told
her it was fortunate she was there and knew what to do.
In a letter to the CKDR Newsroom, Ali’s family urged the public to use
extreme caution around the Government dock.
