Dryden will take part in the ‘Gateway to Canada’ project aimed at attracting more people to the Region.
Councilor Gary Case says they will partner with Machin in the $8,200 initiative.
Under the initiative, a Welcome to Canada sign-mural and an electronic message board will be set up at the Fort Frances/International Falls Border Crossing.
Case says the message board would flash community events.
The project is still in the developmental stage.
Dryden will spend $6,100 while Machin’s share will be $2,100.
Ignace was also approached but Council decided not to take part in the program.
