No Area Services Board in Kenora District

Disappointing news for the Committee investigating an Area Services Board in the Kenora District.
The Province has decided that further development of an ASB may not be practical at this time.
Dryden City Manager Arie Hoogenboom says the Government was concerned with property land tax reform and the population of unorganized areas.
Proponents believed that an ASB would have delivered key services for those in the unorganized areas more efficiently but Dryden and Kenora felt it would merely add another level of Government.
