It’s being dubbed “The Summer Drive”.
Canadian Blood Services is driving towards 50 new donors as Dryden High School hosts the annual Blood Donor Clinic today and tomorrow.
Spokesperson Harvey Heather says the need for blood is high during the summer months.
Heather says one car crash victim may need up to 50-units of blood, which amounts to 50-donors.
Heather adds this coming year they will need 100,000 new donors and over the next 5-years they are anticipating a need for 500,000 new donors.
Today’s clinic runs from 4 until 8 o’clock.
