The Dryden and District Chamber of Commerce is warning small business owners of a telephone scam.
The Chamber says they received a scam call that appears to be targeting small businesses.
The person on the other end claimed to be calling from ‘Google Maps’ and asked them to verify their business operating hours, but when the Chamber questioned them further they hung up.
If a caller threatens to take down your businesses’ Google Maps listing or any other attempt to collect money, you should not confirm any personal information until you can verify the callers identity.
