Dryden Council Asking AMO to Publish Report

The City of Dryden is asking the Association of Municipalities of Ontario to publish a report indicating a bias in the structure of the Ontario Power Authority Feed-In Tariff rules.
The City has continuously been denied approval to move forward with a 5-megawatt solar park in North Dryden.
Councilor Mike Wood says the FIT system is biased against municipally owned projects.
Wood says Dryden has invested considerable time and resources into developing this project at a time when the Province called for Green Energy proposals.
He’s hoping AMO put’s pressure on the Province to revamp its ranking system for clean energy projects.
The report is expected to be presented to the President of AMO Thursday, with local hopes that it be presented to the Minister of Energy and Premier after that.
