Dryden Council Gives OK To Start Work On Soccer Complex

It’s been a long time coming, but construction can now begin on a new Multi-use Soccer building at Rotary Park in Dryden.

Council has paved the way with the awarding of a contract to J.M.S Northwestern Contracting.

A report indicates, Dryden Youth Soccer has raised roughly $650,000 in funds and about $37,000 of in-kind work.

Staff says the contract allows for construction to begin as well as the hook-up of sewer, water and hydro.

They note a contingency fund will also be available.

There is no word on a construction timeline, but the project is expected to be completed by the end of October.
