The future of policing in Dryden will be determined next Monday.
Councilor Brian Collins will present a resolution that Council endorses the Municipal Police Service as the law enforcement agency of choice to provide policing in the community.
Collins says approving the resolution will essentially kill any chance of entering into an OPP costing study.
He adds it will allow the Police Service to begin the search for a new Chief of Police.
Policing in the community became one of the main topics during last year’s Municipal election campaign.
