Dryden Council Will Examine Recreation And Tax Relief

Tax relief and meeting recreational needs.

Those two topics will be top of mind Monday night as Council meets for its second last meeting of 2015.

They will be asked to provide relief to the Food Bank, the Legion and the Ukrainian Hall.

The Recreation Advisory Committee will present its report on the need for upgrades at a number of facilities.

Council will also be asked to give its blessing to a covered play structure at the Sandy Beach Ball Diamonds.

The protected area would give kids a chance to play while ball games are going on without fear of getting hit by a foul ball.

Preliminary figures have the structure coming in at roughly $54,000 and the Committee is on board to raise funds for the entire project.

The open meeting starts at 7 o’clock at City Hall.
