The Dryden Regional Health Centre is calling it a serious issue.
There is no word on possible disciplinary action after the hospital found that an emergency room doctor breached its code of conduct policy.
Officials launched a review following an August 4th complaint of a physician using inappropriate language while attending to a First Nations patient and his family.
The unnamed physician has acknowledged that his conduct was inappropriate and has asked to personally apologize to the family.
He has also agreed to attend cultural sensitivity training.
The hospital is regretting the incident.
