Dryden Eagles Fall To Broncos In Kenora

The Dryden Eagles Boys High School Hockey team got off to a hot start but couldn’t sustain the momentum in a 7-3 setback to the Beaver Brae Broncos in Kenora Tuesday.

Kohl Wrolstad opened the scoring early in the contest but left the game shortly after with an injury to add to an already depleted Eagles line-up.

Beaver Brae would go on a run after that, scoring six consecutive goals.

Karson Bibeau and Evan Armit would find the back of the net in the third.

All of the Eagles goals came on the powerplay.

Beaver Brae out shot Dryden 47-39.

The Eagles end 2018 at home Thursday night against Sioux North.

In other NorWOSSA action, Fort Frances outlasted visiting St. Thomas Aquinas 5-4.

In Girls play, the Saints defeated the Muskies 6-5.
