Evan Armit opened the scoring 26-seconds into the game and Jeff McMenemy followed with a marker four and a half minutes later to give the Dryden Eagles a 3-1 win over the Red Lake Rams Tuesday afternoon in Boys High School Hockey.
Nathan Ho added some insurance with a second period goal, while Tyler Gustafsen scored the Rams only goal.
Red Lake was given a chance to come back late in the third with a two man advantage, however couldn’t crack the Dryden defence.
Both sides saw some timely goaltending and big hits but the contest had the mistakes one would expect in only the second game of the seaosn.
Dryden won the opener 6-1 on Monday.
The two teams see each other again Friday at the Annual Eagles Tournament.
