The Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre Foundation has reached a key fundraising goal thanks to a large group of enthusiastic lady curlers.
The Foundation has received $75,000 from the Annual Bearskin Airlines ‘Skip to Equip’ Classic this past weekend.
26-teams took part in the fun Bonspiel.
The money was raised through pledges, a silent auction, penny auction, 50-50 draws and games.
This year’s funds will finish the fund for the C-arm for the operating room and the remaining dollars will be added to the long term care fund.
The event has now raised over half-a-million-dollars in eight years.
