Greg Wilson is now up to speed on day-to-day operations and now the new Mayor of Dryden is ready to get down to business.
The local businessman is now in charge after a swearing in ceremony Monday morning at City Hall. Wilson says his number one priority is balancing fiscal responsibility with moving the City forward. He notes they should be focusing on addressing the basic needs of the community. Wilson says he’s hoping to build on the momentum of working and meeting with Council and staff over the last month-and-a-half. He notes everything he’s heard is an opportunity to be better and stresses he’s excited about the challenge.
The political newcomer replaces Craig Nuttall, who resigned earlier this year. Wilson says he’s born and raised in Dryden and knows the needs of the community. He believes being born and raised here will be more of an asset and notes he will bring fresh ideas to the table. Wilson talked about the importance of open communication between Council, staff and the public.
