The provincial government is making some headway in contract talks with education support staff.
The Ministry of Education has announced that it has reached a tentative agreement with the Canadian Union of Public Employees, which represents 55,000 school board employees
That just leaves the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario and support staff represented by the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation, without a deal.
The ETFO says it’s continuing to negotiate with the province on a new agreement.
